Credit cards have probably affected the retail business the most. You would use a credit card if you don’t have enough cash to pay for something you wanted/needed. Credit cards are small rectangles of plastic with a magnetic strip that the cashier swipes through a machine. Credit cards are different from Debit cards because they don’t remove money from the buyer’s bank with every purchase.
Credit cards have made such a big impact on the workflow of the retail field because they are much simpler to use when shopping. There isn’t as much cash floating around anymore because more and more people are using credit cards for almost everything.
